The hammer of viking god of thunder Thor. It symbolizes strength, honor and courage. The hammer was worn to give the favor of the gods and to challenge them.
Because each of these pendants is hand-forged, there will be some very slight differences in each hammer, making each one unique.

Care:
Forge Black Iron
The iron is usually rusty. To prevent this process we advise:
1) always keep iron objects in a dry environment
2) avoid contact with chemicals, acids
3) regularly use them
4) regularly clean them with moisture and dust using brushes and cloths
5) slightly warm iron jewelry, periodically rub with beeswax
6) you can use a transparent varnish.
All iron will rust when it is exposed to moisture. Your body will keep the iron dry when it is worn, but wearing it will also start to rub off the protective layers.
We protect the iron by heating it in the forge until the surface goes black. After this we quench the iron into oil. The oil burns onto the surface and covers the black oxide with a glossy layer that repels moisture and helps hold the oxide in place.
The third layer is a beeswax based polish.
This is the one layer that needs to be re-applied more often, especially after wearing the pendant and before storing it. You can use a beeswax furniture polish or leather polish.
Waxing is more important when the black colour starts wearing off the pendant.

All orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or holidays. If we experience a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.
